I don't know about actual restaurants, but we were in Cozumel in late October and found the BEST food. It is at one of those all inclusive beaches (Nachi Cocum). They serve you right on the sand. It was by far the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. I highly recommend the chicken fajitas. Nummers! By the way, the beach is stunning and they only allow something like 100 people per day so it is not crowded. Make reservations ahead of time if you plan to go.
I was in Cozumel once. Back in 2005; just one week before Hurricane Wilma destroyed it. Hopefully they have completly rebuilt it since then.
I did not eat anything in Cozumel. After all, everything to eat onboard my cruiseship was for free (with the exception of the fancy desserts in the Promenade Café. Also, my ship did not have the fancy 5-star restaurants some other ships have).
Anyway, I heard about a few good places to eat while in Cozumel:
- Panchos Backyard: Located within Los Cinco Soles gift shop in dowtown Cozumel (San Miguel). I have only heard rave reviews about this place from people who ate there.
- El Chozan A crewmember on this website reccomend this place.
- Carlos and Charlies I stopped by this place but did not eat anything. The food did look nice; especially the nachos.
I don't care whether I bought the meals or not on a cruise. NO trip to Cozumel is complete without going the Panchos Backyard. Great food, wonderful service, reasonably priced. And the Margaritas are the best!
TrvlPro...thanks. Appreciate it. Just b ooked on Celebrity Century on Feb 28. Never been on Celebrity. Looking forward to it. Anything you 2 can tell me would be GREATLY appreciated!
We were on Century six months ago. Different itinerary, though, so I can't comment there. Yet the ship is quite nice. My favorite spot was the second level of the Atrium, right near the Cova Cafe. There was usually some form of live musical entertainment in the evening, making this a nice place to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and unwind after dinner. Enjoy!
