Mediteraean Cruise Info?

Does anyone know when the best time of year to visit the greek isles and italy are? has anyone been on a med. cruise before? where should we go? and what cuise line is the best in this area? i want to surprise my wife for her 40th bday with a med cruise. i need some help!

Spring & fall are not as hot & less crowded.
Cruiselines ...well that is subjective
Depends on what you want ...most are port intensive for the Med

Princess has two really nice 12 day itineraries on their new Emerald Princess and also Grand and Star Princess between Rome and Venice. One is mostly Greek Isles; the one I like visits the Greek Isles and Monte Carlo, Florence/Pisa and Naples/Capri.

What woman wouldn't want Rome, Venice, Capri and Santorini for her birthday!
