Cuban Cigars!

Does anyone know the exact legality of bringing cuban cigars into the US from a cruise for personal use?

I´m almost sure, that it is not allowed to bring Cuban Cigars in the U.S.

They always say, that you are allowed, to smoke them on bord and on shore excursions, but not bringing them in the U.S.

DO NOT GET CAUGHT TRYING TO BRING THEM INTO THE U.S. The dog's at the port can also smell tobacco.It is a tremendous fine and a real hassle if you get caught.If you buy them smoke them before you return.Tom

If you are cruising out of Miami they are pretty easy to find here. Personally I would not want to get caught with them.

I had a few I bought on the ship and smoked them there.

The best way to get cuban cigars back into us is to bring cigar rapers from legal cigars with you on the cruise. When you buy your Cohibas take off the Cohiba raper and put on a partagas or dutchmaster or whatever wrapper fits the cigar. Put you Cohiba wrapper back on when you get home. Dogs cannot distinguish between cuban or dominican.

I am an avid cigar smoker and have never been impressed with a $20 Cohiba. I recommend going to thomsoncigars.com and buying the conterfeit cubans. They are great.
