Heavy fog from the coast of Texas all the way to Tampa has impacted several cruises. As of this morning the Voyager Of The Seas and the Carnival Conquest are still moored in Galveston. They were supposed to leave yesterday but the port authority closed for all traffic.

Elsewhere the Inspiration was held out of Tampa and will not embark new passengers until 5pm today and the Fantasy apparently is having similar problems getting in to Mobile.

Have you heard yet if and when the Fantasy finally got in to Mobile?

Who would have thought this fog would have been so intense (dense) to cause all of these delays.

Looking at Gene Sloan's twitter link, it appears the Fantasy still hasn't docked. Read HERE

Thanks, Dave. I saw that earlier, and was thinking they (Carnival) would have issued another statement by now. Since this is such an unusual event on this scale I am really curious about it.

Yes, I also am disappointed that Carnival hasn't posted any updates on their website. They can and should do better.

I'm not all that surprised they didn't update the site as most everyone is either waiting in Mobile or on the cruise. This is going by their past history of how they handle these things in regards to site updates. It would have been nice though for others being effected by this delay to have a central information source from the horse's mouth so to speak. They could just add a link for updates or something along that line.

They finally posted an update link . The info says 6pm, but it wasn't live on the site until much later.
