so my parents are going on a southern caribbean cruise late in june, and fathers day is a week or so before that, so i wanted to see if i could get a fathers day gift that would be useful on the cruise. anyone have any suggestions?
i was hoping to get something that is actually useful (not just a gag gift) and that could possibly still be used once the cruise is over

Mike, you could always pre-pay for an excursion or a spa treatment for him. It won't last after the cruise is over, but he'll always have that as a special, lasting memory.
You could also send a gift to their room purchased through the cruise line(flowers, chocolates, champagne). That's a nice gesture, as well.

How about a Sam's Club sized container of sunscreen? For use on the ship and a loooong time thereafter.
Just kidding; a digital camera if he does'nt already have one. If he does, accessories to enhance the camera. A really nice album, specifically for pictures taken while on this cruise (I'm sentimental that way).
I admit, I like the spa treatment Andrea suggested.
If they're going on Carnival, go to their web site and you can purchase all sorts of Bon Voyage gifts. Presidential portraits are also a much needed gift on cruises... I usually appreciate a nice picture of Ben Franklin!! Of course, he wasn't a president...he shoulda been!!
Mike, another thought came to mind. If he's a golfer, how about pre-arranging some lessons with the ship's pro?
And, quickly, back to the spa..... men love facials. I give my husband one once a week. I should say... my husband begs for one once a week. A large percentage of my spa client's are the male species. Facials aren't just for women. A hot stone massage is relaxing and wonderful, as well.
