Our next cruise is in July of 2007, on the Volendam 14 days RT from Vancouver to Seward and back to Vancouver. We have a Category H cabin (outside). Could someone please tell me about this category on the Volendam, and whether the portholes provide enough of a view so that we really have an outside cabin. Also, how obstructed are the obstructed view cabins on the Volendam, that is, are the life boats completely in the way of the cabins or are there some cabins worth selecting even if they are partially obstructed. Anything else you would like to add, would be greatly appreciated.

I am also going B2B on the Volendam 7/20/07 - 8/3/07 and was able to upgrade from to an H to a F(full picture window) for $60.00/PP or $120 for the stateroom. The obstructed view cabins are on the Lower Promenade Deck(Cat HH)and are inside the walkway and you are unable to see anv ocean views.Http:// The windows to the left of the door are 3320 & 3318. Ob View 3316&3314 are behind the metal bulkhead

Thanks for your response. If we happen to meet on the Volendam, a cool one (beer or wine) is on me.
