Hey Everyone,

I apologize for the delay in thanking everyone for all of your support from back in May. We got back from our cruise at the end of June and it was the most amazing trip of our lives. Holland America Line is truly one of the best!

For those of you unfamiliar with my story, my new bride and I were denied our honeymoon cruise two weeks before the wedding due to her only being 20 and I being 23 (less than 25). We had already paid for the cruise, airlines, hotel in Rome, etc. After two days of high stress and hitting nothing but a wall, I decided to take my plea for help online. Because of the support of all of you and a hard-working HAL rep, HAL higher-ups reversed their policy for us and allowed us to go.

Our honeymoon cruise included back-to-back cruisings of the western and eastern Mediterranean. The room, dining, service, etc. was all perfect! We even received a free nights dinner at the Pinnacle Grill (which had the most delicious dessert I have ever had-The Chocolate Volcano- but beware it is rich). My wife took over 1,000 pictures and I videoed over 4 hours of footage. We won't ever forget this trip, the Noordam, or all of you for helping us get there.

Thanks once again!

Some cruise lines' age policy does not apply to married couples. I'm sorry you had so much aggravation surrounding the honeymoon, but am very happy that it eventually worked out. Sounds like you had a fantastic time.

I wish you many more vacations that feel like honeymoons to you both!

Sandy
