Passport Cards

I posted on this sometime back, but could not find the post.
Our friends got the Passport Cards for our up coming Alaskan Cruise. They do not have a computer, so we tried to fix them up online a few months back. HAL is not set up to take the Passport Card number, they still aren't.
My wife called HAL, was told just to check the boxes that say you are using DL and BC. You can then print out the information and it will be in HAL's system. When you report to the ship just show the card and your on.
Did not know if anyone else was having the same problem, but that is the answer.
I do not know what other Cruise Lines do.

The passport cards are only good for a "closed loop" cruise. (Depart and arrive at same port.) If there is an emergency you can not fly home, if you are out of the U.S. I find them to be useless, but to each his own.
