I was on the Ryndam and someone brought in a laptop. I dont believe there was any cost but you had to have a wireless card.

By the way, have a great time. We finished an inside passage cruise on 9-3 on the Ryndam and had a GREAT time. Take a rain coat though as we had rain in a couple ports. It is the rainy season up there. We hit Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, College Fjords and Glacier Bay. Saw a lot of glacier caving. Take the whale watching excursion that leaves at 9:30am while in Juneau. We saw a lot of whales and some seals playing with a humpback whale. It was awesome!

I was inquiring on another discussion about internet access, see responses under the discussion with that title. I think it best if you email HAL directly through their website and ask if wireless access is available. According to one response, the fee is about 35cents/minute depending on how many minutes you purchase. I am not sure if all ships have wireless. Also, iPass may be able to be used if you have this service. I am going to check with iPass on that. Thanks.
