QUESTION ABOUT HAL Zuiderdam

my wife and i are going on our first HAL cruise aboard the Zuiderdam. we are both 31 and we're wondering if we will be the youngest non-children on the cruise. has anyone been on this cruise and be able to tell me? mind you we're not looking for anything too crazy, but we want to be prepared before we go.

Yes I would say that you will be the youngest non children aboard. And I might say there won't be many children either. Just go and enjoy.

A lot depends on the dates you are cruising. If it is a holiday, or otherwise a period where colleges might be having a break, then their might be a number of yournger people on the ship. Go with the idea that you will enjoy yourself, and you will.

thanks for your responses. we actually booked the cruise for next week 3/5, knowing that a lot of colleges spring break don't begin until the following week.

We went on the Zuiderdam this past July and we are 34 & 40. We met at least 7 other couples in our age bracket. Those are just the ones we spoke to. As well, there were plenty of children, many more than what i would have expected. I enjoyed the Zuiderdam so much I just booked the Oosterdam to Alaska.

I think there is a lot of negetive press about HAL being an "old couple" ship and their new vista class ships are nothing like that. It's certainly not a party boat, but every cruise is what you make of it.
