Noordam from NY

The Noordam has a 10 day from NYC next Feb. Any comments about the ship. It looks old and may need a rehab. The stops look neat but we're worried aboit the ship. If not then we'll go on the Princess from Fort Lauderdale.

Any thoughts.

I think you may be confusing Noordams. The present Noordam debuted in February 2006. Click HERE for information directly from Holland America.

The prior Noordam was built in 1984, I believe, and that may be the ship you are thinking of. She's been retired from the HAL fleet.

I have not yet sailed on the present Noordam, but I have several good friends who will be going in late fall and I'll pass along their feedback.
