Today I heard Holland American Line will be suspending their fuel surcharge this month. If true, other cruise lines will likely follow suite.

All of Carnival's North American brands are suspending them as of December 17.

We cruise on the Westerdam in 21 days and were just informed that our fuel charge will now be a shipboard credit - takes care of half of the gratuity for the week.
