I am ready to book this cruise for my 50th b-day and would like advice or comments on whether to buy a Cat B or Cat SS -- both are balcony cabins -- SS 350+ sq. ft, B approx 250 sq. ft.

I am a frequent cruiser usually book outside cabins, only had a balcony once, but as this is a special occasion want to really "do it up".

I'm also a BIG LOVER of spa treatments -- so the real question is -- do I pay for the extra square feet (plus jacuzzi tub in room) or do I save the extra for spa treatments?

Any ideas??

Thanks for your help.

I would say you can spend more hours of enjoyment on your balcony and hot tub in the room than you will be able to spend in the spa. I would take the room over the spa but that is just me.

Thanks -- and good point. I'm nearly decided, but it's such an extravagance and I'm really having a hard time not feeling too guilty to enjoy it!!!

Cheers!

Dear luv2cruz,

I, too, am booked for the Jan. 15 Zuiderdam cruise. And I, too, will be celebrating my 50th birthday!! What a great time we should have! We will have to find each other. Email me if you would like.

This will be my first cruise with my husband.

Martha
