Has anyone here taken a repositioning cruise i.e. from Alaska to CA? I like the idea of seeing two different geographic areas, but I am not sure that the limited ports-of-call will make it better or worse. It seems like the cruise would be a lot more low key with several days at a time @ sea. How do prices compare to other cruises? Any more special deals with lower cost? Any diffreence in service or food quality or entertainment?

We've done two re-positioning cruises, both transatlantic: one on PRINSENDAM and the other on MILLENNIUM. Whether you will like one or not depends upon whether you prefer sea days to port days. I prefer sea days, so I really enjoyed the six straight days of the crossings.
