Thanks for the welcome. We did the E Caribbean on the Oosterdam too: Nassau, St. Martin, and Tortola. We were looking for a more southern cruise this time, but saw the new ship and great balcony price and couldn't resist!
We had a ship's tour and a delicious lunch on board the Eurodam when she was in Southampton last month - she's beautiful ship! All the usual HAL features - the cabins looked really nice - and a slightly lighter decor than the other "dam ships" I think. Unfortunately we couldn't find a cabin to stow-away in!!!!!!
My husband and I booked for June 2, 2009 - Copenhagen 10 day round trip, our first Europe cruise. I can hardly stand the wait - all of our previous cruises have been in all parts of the Caribbean, Virgin Islands, Panama Canal, etc. The pictures of the ship from the HAL website reveal a decor that I think I will love. I'll be watching the posts from all of you with upcoming cruises. Have a great time and happy sailing!
Copenhagen 10 day round trip sounds fantastic! I too can't wait to read other's posts from their upcoming cruises. (Most of all, I can't wait to add my own!) It looks like Grumpz ought to be cruising the Baltic about now! Write us soon!
We have booked on this new ship Nov 29th --our first HAL ship...the reviews so far have been soooo mixed. We're going to Eastern Carribean-hope we're not disappointed. This will be our first experience in an interior room (trying to save a little where we can!)
We just booked on the Eurodam for the 14 night sailing June 22 from Copenhagen to London. Should be an incredible trip. Nine countries, and three total sea days out of the 14. We were initially booked on the Carnival Liberty in Europe and it was cancelled. Anyone have any insight to how my kids will do on a long cruise? And if there will be many kids on board overseas? They are 9 and 5 at the time of cruising.
Thanks!

Since the cruise is in the summer when children are out of school, I'm sure there will be more than if it were during the school year. HAL is typically an older crowd, but on the Eurodam there will probably be a good mix. Sounds like a fantastic itinerary. One that your children will long remember. What a fantstic way for them to get an education by experience, and of course, cruise at the same time. Best wishes!
