was on the noordam from 3/4 to 3/15....the ship is beautiful,
the food was fairly good....good flow of 1900 passengers...
embarkation and disembarkation a disaster, people waited 3
hours to get on the ship...bring your own clock for the room
as they don't supply any....was a wonderful trip and everything
was new.....have a great trip.
Thanks for the heads-up, Arlene. I will bring an alarm clock with me. Glad to hear you had a good trip. Nice to hear from someone who has been on the new Noordam. Do you think the delay in boarding was just New York? What time did were you able to board?
Mr TP, a few of us went up to the front of the area where we
were to board and went in with the crowd, before our boarding
number was to be called. i complained on the ship and their
answer was it was the Port Authority problem, I told them we
pay them and someone from Holland America should be on the
pier. I hope by the 25th they get their act together. Have a
great trip.
You are correct Arlene, HA should have had someone on the dock. For some reason, I just expect problems in N.Y.C.
I'll let you know how it goes when I return.
Thanks again for the info......
My wife and I will also be sailing on the March 25th Noordam cruise, along with my cousin and his wife from Holland. Looking fwd to this cruise for sometime, we hope everything goes smooth.Wife and I are mariners and have only sailed with HAL and have always been very pleased with all the services. Happy Sailing
Thanks for the reply Dejongs. My wife and I are also Mariners. I have only sailed HAL, but the wife has been on some others.
Hope to see you on board. I will be the 54 year old guy with the omni-present Nikon D100 with me. If you spot me, say hi.
