Has anyone been on a Mediterranean cruise? I am of course trying to get a bargin so I haven't booked yet. The airfare is a killer. Any info on cheap airfare. Also, it is rountrip from Rome on the Noordam. Just wondering if it was full with a lot of Americans and how were the excursions?

maybe a little late with this reply & cannot see where you are from so as you have said fares are expensive assume you may be from america or canada.Have no idea what they are like but zoom airlines leave from NYC and various cities in canada at very competative fares to gatwick london uk. Once you arrive in the uk then we have a number of budget airlines that will give you cheap flights to Rome eg easyjet & Ryan air but word of warning check for luggage weight restrictions as these are not very generous.

Thank you so much. I am from the U.S.A (Phila. area). I'll check into these. Are the inexpensive flights from the U.K. to Rome regular airplanes? I'm afraid to fly on a small plane. Thanks again.

You might want to consider a Mediterranean cruise in the off season when flights would be lower and the crowds thinner.
