we are booked in an I cabin 7072. My Ta called today and said she could get me Cabin I 7086 for the same price, but it has a window and is a little smaller.
It is at the aft which I like.
Anyone see anything wrong with this room?
Gary, I would jump on it if it were my decision; it may be slightly smaller but it looks more like just a little different shape--more square. I'd bet the square footage is the same, or very close.
But the rear-facing window would make me want it, even if slightly smaller.
I was on Veendam, almost a sister, on the lowest deck all the way aft, and had no problem with noise or vibration at all.
Thanks Rick. We were on the Zaandam on thenext to the lowest deck, aft section. We did not have any problems there (other than the head not working for most of the trip). I am going to stop by the TA this am, and make the change if the cabin is still open. Searching the net I heard a lot of good things on those aft cabins.
Well I got our cabin changed. My TA asked HAL about the window and they say it does not have one. I have searched the web and found photos showing it does, plus it has a small deck on the aft of the ship that very few people use.
Sounds like a good find to me, an OV for the price of an inside... sold.
