Refurbishing for the Oosterdam?
 

Anyone know if the HAL Oosterdam is going in for refurbishing on early October....I'm sailing on her in late October. Just want to know...

Given there is an almost two week window between the 4-night sailing from Vancouver ending and your cruise departure, I would say it likely will be going into the shipyard for refurbishment.

I got a note from HAL that it would be in dry dock for 2 weeks, then a 4 day repositioning down to San Diego...and a 7 day shake down to the Mexican Riviera....then PICKING ME UP IN SAN DIEGO AND GOING TO HAWAII:-)....Opps didn't mean to shout.....

What is good about that timeline is that the people on the 4-night repo cruise will identify any problems resulting from the refurb, so you should have a nice clean and updated ship for your Hawaii cruise!

There is still time to jump on board and do the Hula....You don't cruise again until December.....This will get you a nice tan.....

I wish I could, but I am working a consultant contract through January at "Ye Olde Nuclear Plante". They agreed to let me take the Rock Legends cruise in December as a stipulation in the contract, but otherwise I am locked up as far as vacation time.
