Hello, we have heard that we can bring on our own wine on the ship. Do they take it from us so they can charge us the corkage fee or can we take it to our cabin?
Hey Annette
Yes you can - unlike other cruises, they do not limit the amount that you bring onboard. It seems that Hollanda America Line is a little more relax with wine on board - we bought wine in every port when we travelled in Alaska a few years back - they had a $25 corkerage fee if you brought your bottle to the dining room; otherwise we just enjoyed a glass in our stateroom or on deck at no charge.

Thanks for the info. We are looking forward to it!
We are going on the Prinsendam this weekend and just chatted with a friend that is bringing 2 cases or wine (this is not unusual on longer HA voyages). I believe that the current corkage fee on HA ships is $18 per bottle and this only applies to wine you would bring into the dining room.
