I am appealing to anyone who may have heard about/witnessed the incident in which my father fell down stairs in the dining room and sustained a fatal head injury.
Apparently, a fellow cruiser and a crew member found him lying face down at the bottom of a staircase in the dining area.
He was conscious at that point and complaining about a sore shoulder. A nurse with a wheelchair was dispatched to remove him to the infirmary, and the doctor had him evacuated, once again in a wheelchair, to a waiting ambulance.
This all occurred before the ship was due to depart, and may have caused the delay in leaving.
We, the bereaved family need answers to the loss of our vibrant and healthy father, who was so looking forward to this cruise, and now he is dead.
