Westerdam and Virus

My Fiancée and her 83 year old mother both came down with a “Norwalk” like virus and were quarantined to the cabin. They choose to fly home due to concerns about her Mothers health.

Any further review is pointless as the cruise was a disaster due to the illness. Check the CDC website for information on the ship you are planning to book on they have a database of all outbreaks from all the cruise lines. It is on the Ship Inspection section at CDC.GOV

I am very sorry you did not have a good cruise. Illnesses are never good, whether they occcur at home or away. In relation to the shipboard illness, how were they treated? Was the crew pleasant? Did they do all they could to help ease the ill feelings? I know you never feel they did enough when your long planned for cruise goes down in flames, but I am sure there were some positive times they could share...
