I am not familiar with this type of dining. I understand that you have to make a reservaation each morning. Are there any problems getting the dining time wanted?

The early bird gets the worm. Probably not a good dining analogy, but if you wait too long you might find your preferred seating time filled. It depends on the time you want. In most cases the peak times are from 7pm to 7:30pm, so if you want to sit down around that time frame I recommend you get your reservation confirmed early that morning.

We were on the Volendam in July. We had a standard early table. We did hear many people complaining about not getting there desired reservations. Best to follow Dave's advice here and make your choice early.
