I almost remember a catholic priest on board the Westerdam last year but I could be mistaken as I did not attend services. It just occurred to me I will be at sea on Ash Wednesday this year. Can anyone confirm I will be able to get ashes. It would be really great if we could observe this High Holy day. As always thanks for your help.

Alfred, sorry no one has answered you. You may have to call the cruise line specifically about the ashes. Holland America does have priest on board for major religious holidays.

Alfred, we've cruised with Holland 3 times, most recently this past Nov. aboard the Ryndam, and on each ship there was a catholic priest aboard and had a daily mass.
