I think he'd be fine as a commentator with his drawl; and if it didn't work, he go over to NASCAR

I have to admit Montana is my favorite. It was the last superbowl I got to watch with my dad before he passed away. It was "the" catch. However, "the" catch that was made this year I still don't believe. Loosing Favre at Greenbay makes the team like the niners when they lost Montana, it just won't be the same. Or when Dallas lost Tom Landry. Favre made Greenbay what it is today. It will be really strange without him this year.

The Packers just need some "Magic" like
Don Majkowski or else perhaps another Eagle transplant like say, Don-ovan McNabb!

As much as I like Favre, I think Bart Starr, Boyd Dowler, Max McGhee, Paul Hornung, and Vince Lombardi made Green Bay a loooooong time ago. I would say that Favre brought them back to respectability. The post Lombardi/Starr years up until Favre honed his skills, were pretty lean.

Aaron Rodgers will fill in nicely; Farve had a really nice year this year, but take a look at the two previous years (kind of stinko in comparison). I think it'ss a good time for him to step down. I just hope the drug and alcohol demons don't creep back into his life now that he doesn't have anything competitive going.

And Jim Taylor, Forrest Gregg, Fuzzy Thurston and one more who followed later, Reggie White.
McGee died recently. Fell of his roof.

Oh yea, Kramer, Nitschke, Wood, Hackbart?

Herb Adderly, Willie Davis, and Donnie Anderson, too. I saw that about Max; I know he was quite the carowser and consumer of adult beverges in his day; I wonder if he had a couple before he climbed on the roof or if he was just too old to do something like that.

Bret Farve is my neighbor.I pass his front gate everyday. He sure has a beautiful place of what I can see of it. Friends of mine have run into him at the service station up the road but I have not.
