Have you or Penny ever driven a rig over I-77 at Fancy Gap Va? They have the truck "escape" type ramps.

Don't think so, Dwayne. I81, I40, and some back roads around there. Usually east coast ranges are 4-6% grades, and some pretty hairy curves, but out in Colorado, Arizona, California, and northern Nevada, the grades are amazing.

I have crossed Beamer Knob many times, Dwayne. I used to use I-77 to get to my favorite truck stop in Raphine, VA.
Penny, the road sign I posted is in California. (if I remember right, it wasn't too far from Donner's Pass)
Tennessee has some fun grades like Monteagle on I-24 but I still haven't had as much fun as going down Cabbage Hill on I-84 in Oregon. Wheeeeee!!!

They had closed Donner pass one night due to weather and we had to deliver in New York. So I found a road, 2 lane, through the forest. What a trip! By the time we made it to Reno they had re-opened I80 and I had to change my clothes We got stuck in Wyoming anyway, they closed the road for 2 days. Oh well, we were late, but we couldn't move. I remember going over 3 sisters and the big R pups looking like wagon camps from the old west. I really hated driving in that kind of weather.
