Trick or Treat.
Just don't open the candy yet or you'll have to go back out later to get some for the ghouls and boys |
Happy Halloween everyone! We just filled 80 bags with candy so the little creatures can begin arriving any time.
Have a fun, spooky evening! Nadine |
It was the policy in our county this year to have trick-or-treating done last night, since Halloween fell on Sunday. Some of it is based in this being the Bible belt, but also it was because the next day is a school day.
We only had 3 groups of kids come to the door. I will not be surprised to see people show up tonight too. |
I've heard at least a couple of reports, including from my daughter in Massachusetts, of kids coming to the door asking for candy, with no costumes at all. Huh?

It's like collecting unemployment, you get paid for NOT doing the work. I guess it's becoming the norm!

Happy Halloween everybody, even though this is rather late. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you handed out candy, hope you bought enough! We actually had to turn a couple groups away, even though they were older kids (teens).
We turned off our porch light (usually the sign that we are out of candy, or not participating) when we ran out, but still had people come to the door. I guess that sign doesn't mean much now either. |
I never get any trick or treater's here. I sorta miss when I lived in a small Mayberry type town and would have 100's. Everyone knew everyone and it was safe. When I was a kid they'd take us to the best upper class neighborhoods to trick or treat. They had the best candy. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

Lots of costumes at the game however. I loved the 4 guys dressed as referees with a large book "Football for Dummies" HaHa it was great. I hope they got a lot of candy |
