CruiseDad, I fixed the picture code for beautiful Calico Dixie. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

f-mattox, Mollie is precious! I'm scared of Echo though.

janfred, Miss BB and Chin are adorable. I bet you have to keep an eye on those two. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif

gdjoslin, Bubba and Boomer are beautiful. Bubba looks like he is in charge. What an awesome picture.

Really great pets; we no longer have any at home but do, on occassion, take care of our childrens pets when they are away on vaca. Boomer's got some GREAT claws going; stay clear of those !

F-Mattox:

Can Echo talk? If so, what does Echo say? I heard that African Grays are great talkers.

f-mattox 03-22-2009 06:44 PM

Yes, she has a vocabulary of about 150 words and phrases; things like, "go for a walk?", "bye bye now", "see you later", "good morning", "good night" (both at always the appropriate time of day), "take a bath". One of her cutest is when she calls the dog: she whistles, then calls "Mollie" a couple of times, then makes a noise like hands clapping--just like we do when calling the dog. And her best is when she makes a sound like our phone ringing, which is so accurate it fools us sometimes; then she'll answer, "hello, how are you"; then she'll jabber a while, and finish up with "okay, bye bye now, see you later". And she asks for specific things to eat; "Can I have a grape/cracker/apple/cheese."
