Since cruisin' ain't cheap, I assume everyone here has a job that affords them the ability to go on such great vacations (many, many great vacations in some cases).

I was just wondering what all of you do for work when not cruising.

Cruise-chat must pay their moderators very well for them to be able to afford so many cruises .

Mike, I work incredibly hard for our cruises.
Taxi driver, personal groomer, chef, pool attendant, psychiatrist, mediator, housekeeper, groundskeeper, laundry attendant, nurse.

Actually, I've been a stay-at-home mom for several years. I do some aesthetician work out of my home. My husband's career is the one that affords us the opportunity to cruise.

Andrea, at first I only read the first half of you post, and was thinking "Holy cr@p!" haha. But being a stay at home parent has got to be one of the toughest jobs out there - but I'm sure it's nice at times, too.

Also, I wish I was retired . Buuut, I just graduated college in 2005 and am currently working as a commercial banker. Only 63+ years till retirement!! Not the most exciting job, but at least it helped me pay for my cruise (9 days!!).

I almost had you didn't I, Mike?

Sometimes it feels like I do all of those things.... simultaniously. Someday you'll see what I mean. Wait. Rewind. At least your wife will know what I mean.

It is the most personally satisfying "job" I ever had. My daughter left for college Monday and knowing that she has a good head on her shoulders and she makes smart choices, lets me know that I've done my job well. Can't ask for more than that.

As for your job, it's admirable that you work hard for your vacations and for the finer things in life. Many of the younger generations don't anymore and that's a great quality you have.
