The worst storm I have ever been in was Hurricane Donna. I was just a little girl. The canal behind us filled our back yard. We had 3 feet of water in the street. We were without electricity for 2 weeks. Thankfully, we had filled our bathtub with water. We had to buy some as well, but we had buckets filled. Mom had sterno, dad had the grill but there wasn't enough charcoal to go around. Funny thing, there was no FEMA back then. We had to just wait for the water to go down and clean up on our own. We did go through one night where the seas were 12-14'. I don't know what it was, but man she was rocking.
