Nothing quite like being humiliated on a nationally televised Saturday evening football game. Oklahoma destroyed Texas Tech last night.

I am still worried about my Crimson Tide. We couldn't have hung with Oklahoma last night either. Plus we have the kiss of death that being ranked #1 holds. It is better to be #2.

Well Dave I am an Okie. I think the Nation was pulling for them. The win help get Texas Tech out of the way. I was really surprised, I thought it would be a real nail biter. Texas Tech does have a very good team. Okla homa (yes there is a pause in the middle, If you have seen the email going around you know what I mean )stills needs help to get to the big game. It will help if they do great next week with Okla State. If they go to the Big 12 Game they need to do a very good job with Missouri. Saying that is easy, both Okla homa and Missuri are very good teams. Your upcoming game with Florida will be a good one also.

I really don't think that Alabama can match up to Florida or Oklahoma right now...
(can you tell that I am an Auburn alumnus)

Alabama seems to just hang on too often. The first half of the season we only played 30 minutes of football and then clung to whatever points we scored in the first half. We won them all, but the lack of being explosive worries me. I am really not convinced we will win the SEC championship game.

On the other hand we have Auburn's number for the Iron Bowl this weekend.

Well Alabama is still #1, Texas 2 and the Okies 3. Florida really dropped, not sure I agree with that. those Okies need to do some more whipping next week and roll over OSU to make it to the dance. Texas has the advantage.

I was surprised watching the Texas Tech/Oaklahoma game. I thought Tech would give them a run for their money. Alabama hasn't really played a tough team, so I don't know that they're good enough to match up with Florida, Texas Tech, Oaklahoma or Texas. Boise State is still undefeated as is Utah. I'd love to see a play-off type set of games for the undefeated of all the conferences, then those go to the National Championship. The others with losses go to bowl games.

The BCS is a mess, yet most college presidents support it even though most fans hate it. All I can say is "follow the money" and you'll know why it is supported by the college administrations.

Wouldn't they receive more playing more games?

I don't understand how they divvy up the money. I would assume it comes from the ads and television. One of the fellows I work with has season tickets to Tennessee, he pays $5K a year for them.
