Well a land vacation is nice for a change. It is tough fixing your own meals! No nightly shows, no one to pick up after us! On the other hand this is a very nice area. We do get a little more tired, we have to drive ourselves, no tour buses. I would say we are spending a little more also.
Have not been to Yellowstone yet, These are of the Tetons and Mesa Falls.
My wife does not like heights. the Falls did not bother her, however the walk along the Snake river in Twin Falls did. It also is a beautiful place. these images are HDRs
I walked across the bridge, she would not.
3 people had just jumped off the bridge(they had chutes on) when we got there.
would have been great to see.
Great pictures Gary. I know what you mean about land-based vacations. We did a trip up to Navajoland in 2008. It was an incredible adventure with incredible views. The only problem was having to stay in hotels every night and figure out where to eat three times a day - and pay for it to boot ~ I have found that I do like the "road trip" - but I look forward to doing it by RV.
