Nationwide Eggo Waffle Shortage Plagues the U.S.

Well, getting back on topic with the title of the thread, the Eggo shortage seems to have caught up to New Jersey. While there are some varieties left on shelves, the variety that I like (Homestyle, or Buttermilk) I can't seem to find at any store. I tried the local store brand by me (Stop and Shop), but I like Eggos better.

I guess I'll just have to resort to cereal, or oatmeal for a few months until Kellog's gets this sorted out.

So far I've been able to replenish my supply of Eggo's at the local stores. I accidentally found a neat gadget for making egg-muffins to go with the Eggo's at Walmart, or as we know them Mc-something-Muffins. You simply put an egg in, stir a little, and then microwave for a minute. The egg comes out perfect for a toasted English muffin. It sure helps save some money instead going through the drive-thru.

It appears by me that the Eggo situation is getting resolved. They are easy to come by at 2 of my local stores, and last week, for the first time, I was able to get a 24 count box, which I haven't been able to get for awhile it seems.

No shortage here either. I found the Batter Blaster, what I call "Pancakes in a can" today at the store. I haven't tried it yet.

I go out for waffles There's a little place on A1A in Lauderdale, at the Sea Club, best waffle I've ever tasted. I know they use sour cream in the recipe. It is wonderful, hot melted butter, a little powdered sugar, some fresh fruit. I'm salivating
