Don't look for many "leggo my eggo" commercials any time soon. Kellogg's doesn't need them because they are struggling with a nationwide shortage of the frozen waffles for various reasons. It may take until June of next year to recover. Read more (if you really care) here

I have to say, when I was working shifts at ye olde nuclear plant convenience foods like Eggo waffles were a welcome thing. It's 0300 and you are 9 hours into your shift and have 3 hours left. A couple of waffles and syrup made a good meal. (Well, I'd have some sausage links too).

Don't they serve those on Carnival ships?

Oh boy; 12 hour shifts! I did that for 4 years, plant security, 19:00-07:00. A couple of times a week they would call at 06:45 to say my relief had called off and could I stay another 8. I became a frozen food aficionado.

I think they all serve store brand waffles.
I just found two boxes of Eggos in our freezer. I may put them on eBay! |
