Hey Rick how is the smoke in your area. The station fire sounds pretty bad. Then thee is the fire southwest of you.
We are getting a lot of smoke from the Big Meadow fire (Yosemite). I find it hard to believe they were have a control burn this time of year. I wonder how much that person gets paid?
Not too bad today, Gary; we had quite a bit Friday and Saturday from the Palos Verdes blaze but the winds are blowing smoke from the other fires away from us here on the coast. Who I really feel sorry for are the brave men and women fighting these infernos in 100+ degree heat.
Is anything going right for California these days? Man, to read the news it seems the whole state is on the verge of calamity with the fires and the state going broke. Selling prisoner uniforms and used desks on eBay? Very disturbing.
Not our finest hour, Dave; the'll do anything and everything except what needs to be done: cut spending. And in the midst of a crisis they raise taxes and increase regulations so we are now the least business - friendly State in the Nation. Good job, Sacramento!
It has to be pretty bad to ground the water aircraft. Good heavens, Dave is so right, everything seems to be going awry for California. It seems your tax base is as strained as it can get. If people aren't working, they can't pay taxes, though.
