we love nascar, have tickets to the 500, cant wait. we have been very lucky we have had garage passes at richmond, bristol, charlotte, darlington. the gargage passes are awesome,you get to really mingle with the drivers. bristol is always my favorite.

I was a big Davy Allison fan. Looking right now at all of the paraphernalia of his I own that sits in my office. Just watched "Ride of Their Lives" (think thats what it was). Had some great pieces on the last (and first) generation drivers. These days I pull for Robby Gordon. Last of the independants, gotta respect the guy for what he accomplishes on the budget he has. Wife is a Jeff Gordon fan (unfortunately, I am ALSO looking at all his paraphernalia of HIS in my office....yuck)

Yes, racing season is back. The shootout tonight, followed by NHRA qualifying at Pomona on ESPN2. NHRA Finals tomorrow evening. The Twin 125's at Daytona this coming Thursday afternoon on Speed TV, and then the Daytona 500 next weekend. (Daytoner 500 for any Emeril fans out there)

I thought Tony Stewart did well to finish 3rd in the shootout. A new team is rough in NASCAR. There were too many stupid moves, though, lots of money down the tubes.

Yes, a lot of trashed cars. How about Awesome Bill and Mark Martin on pole day? They've still "got" it. I was really hoping Elliott would get the pole.

Hey, I think Darrell could still be a contender, if his wife would let him. But, I do understand her concern. Elliott and Martin are pros. Bill was on top of the pole each day in practice, which really was awesome. I get so confused with all the number changes. 6 was Mark Martin, 21 was Bill Elliott, 8 was junior, and now they're all changed. Don't they realize old folks have a hard time remembering who's driving what
