Veteran's Day

Here's a big THANK YOU to all of our cruise-chat military veterans. Because of men and women like you, we enjoy the freedoms that we have today.

It is a privilege to honor you and a blessing to live in the USA!

Thank you, Nadine. I appreciate your kind comments. I did 10 years of active duty - 4 in the Marines and 6 in the Navy. It wasn't always fun, but it was often interesting and always important.

Thanks also. I also served in the US Air Force. I was in for 6 years. The military was a great thing for me. I went in when I was 18. It really helped me to grow up. Lil' Lori

I also send my gratitude to all who have served our country, and am proud of all we count among our cruise-chat Members.

As I do every November 11, I wear the POW bracelet I got from my Dad when I was a child. I think about the man it represents, a then-40-year-old USAF Lt. Col. serving in Vietnam, and send prayers to his family.

Lisa, that is very inspirational thing to do. I think about all the sacrifices made and lives lost on this day too.
