$20.00 runs my trencher for about 2-3 hours... man that kills. I am glad I am semi retired. The money we make is just extra. It lets us do a few extra funs things every year.
A good friend of mine just retired from a truck company a few weeks ago & he said the cost of fuel was eating all the profits. I don't know how they stay in business without raising their charges. I think we're all in for some big increases due to inflation next year - cruise lines included.
I filled up Saturday, $35.24 and it was on half, I have a 11 gallon tank. I had to buy some gas for the tractor yesterday. I ran out half way through mowing. $7.00 for 1.9 gallons of gas. I'm going to have to check into goats.

I just filled up my bike at the walmart station today. It was $3.58 (including the 3 cent discount) 2.54 gal for $9 & change. It's not going to get any cheaper- enjoy it while it's below $4 per gallon.
Where I live, we have to worry about Hurricanes marching through, like they did in 2004 & 5.
So, it was that time again to get all the gasoline cans filled-up. We use the gasoline cans to fuel the generator we have in case we loose power like we did after Hurricane Charley. ..... by the way.... I got into cruising because of Hurricane Charley. My family and I had to spend time as house guests over my sister and B.-I.-L.'s house. It was there that I was using their computer on the Internet and discovered this website and took my very first cruise soon after.
Anyway....getting back to the subject.... Last week, I filled-up 4 gasoline cans that held 5 gallons each of gasoline (that is exactly 19 liters for our international members here). Would you take a guess as to how much I spent????? Well, for 20 gallons of gasoline (95 liters)I spent $72 US
I know just 7 short years ago I could get 50 gallons (190 liters) of gasoline for less than $72 US.
And this was last week April 21, 2008 at a gasoline station that probably had the best price in town: $3.41 US per gallon (that is $0.91 US per liter). Now one week later the price averages to about $3.55 US per gallon or $0.93 US per liter

It's going to be a shocker this year when we fill up the cans in prep for hurricane season.
Are you filling up with kerosene or gasoline for the hurricane season? I know kerosene is higher than gas, but not as high as diesel. Thank the Lord I don't have a diesel car, that's $4.08/gal.
You're right Dave, I didn't get a receipt, but it was $35.24. Maybe my tank is larger than I thought, but I swear they said the Versa tank was 11 gallons. Maybe it's 15?
I was trying to wait until I got back from the cruise to fill up, but I'm not going to make it. Guess I won't get to have a rum punch or two when I get on board. Oh wait, maybe I'll get my stimulus check
