$1.79 here today in north Texas!....wow - that is $1.90 per gallon cheaper than we paid 3 months ago when we went on our road trip to Virginia and Pennsylvania and back!

I will be going through Meridian in the morning so I can't wait to see what the difference will be now that oil is listed at less than $56 per barrel. (I know that the price at the pump is not immediately affected by price drops but a guy can dream.)

OPEC stated it's going to start a price war because they can't go out and buy their hummers and lear jets, their economy is suffering-boy does my heart bleed purple peanut butter. I wish we didn't have to buy anything from them, ever. I know that can't happen, but I would love it if we could tell them to stick their royal castles up their hummers.

The Murphy gas finally went below $2.00 here in SW Florida & with the 3 cent discount from Walmart it looks good. Now All I have to do is use up all my stored gas from hurricane season that I bought at over $3 per gallon & I can start to take advantage of it.

It was $1.92 at the Kangaroo station on the west side of Huntsville this morning. $1.87 at the Jet-Pep. It was almost twice that high just 3 months ago.

Some of our station owner's have apparently gotten worn out with changing the prices on the manual signs. Some of them are leaving the last digit blank. We are under $2 now.

It is $1.85 this morning in Atlanta!! What a deal! How long do you think this will last? Thanksgiving is next week, I'm guessing it will go up a little for the folks who will be driving out of town.

We are seeing $1.70 to $1.75 at many stations now. I can't remember the last time I paid under a $1.90 for gas....I just wonder how long its going to last. I hope people don't go back to the old driving habits too quickly thinking "the crisis is over"

We're still at $2.04, but I expect to see it skyrocket for the holidays.
