Price of Gas

We finally made it down to $1.87 so far. I hope it holds.

They have $1.69 at Costco, I think that is the members only price though.

I filled up for $1.89 at Murphy on Saturday.

It was $1.78 at the county line yesterday - a discount station. I got Chevron for $1.83 prior to seeing the cheaper place.

Cause and effect....the stock market rallies on news of a Citibank bailout and this also causes oil to jump almost $5 a barrel. I guess that $1.78 gasoline I saw won't be there for long.

It's funny. I still have a 5 gallon container full of gasoline for my lawn mowers that I bought when it was $3.50 or so a gallon. So there you go - I paid almost $20 for that gasoline and can replace it now for less than $10.

Make sure you use a fuel stabilizer. You don't want to waste that expensive stuff.
