What's it like where you live?

Hey Greyson. Haven't heard from you in awhile. How are you doing? Ok now to get back on topic. It has finally cooled down a little in GEORGIA~

I have been reading but really busy helping friends who were involved in our SE Minnesota flooding. Nine families from our church lost everything. It rained overnight and now we have water in our basement because the hubby forgot to put the drain pipes back on after he mowed the grass, silly boy. We are supposed to get a HUGE cool down now so I am looking forward to that. Vacation in October, driving to Oklahoma to meet Mike's cousins for the first time, then on to Kentucky to visit friends, Dayton Ohio to visit friends and then back. Can't wait to get away.

I am vacationing right now, but I see that it is still in the 90's in the heart of Dixie.

Where are you vacationing? We will be going in October, driving to Oklahoma to meet some of my hubbys cousins that he has never met, then over to Kentucky to visit friends for a couple days, then up to Ohio to visit a friend who moved from here about 4 years ago. Will be a 10-day trip. I would rather cruise, but thats next year. I can't believe its been a year since our cruise already.

We live in a small town in central Illinois. The population is about 1,000--give or take a few. Before moving to this town 30+ years ago, we lived in Peoria, which has a population of about 130,000. It didn't take us long to love small town living!

The weather here has been hot and humid, but fall is in the air today. The corn stalks are turning brown in the fields and are about ready to harvest. I love fall, but hate winter. Hopefully, we can find a cheap cruise to take us away from Illinois for a while in January!
