Interesting, I wonder if it would work. Might be worth a try.

I'm for anything that helps. Shut it off already!

I found this article which has probability charts for places being affected by the oil. Note their caveat about these being subject to change at any time due to hurricanes, etc.

Thanks for the article link. I don't even like the 2% chance for here. I feel so bad for the gulf coast and all it is impacting. I guess it gets to me more than some because I live on a salt marsh and see the wildlife every day it could harm. I don't want to see the Great Egrets with a tar ball on them.

No I hadn't, and I did cry while viewing them. And they still haven't shut it off. If they can't cap a well they shouldn't be allowed to drill it near our shores.

Gary, great article. So BP is backed up on their hotline....HELLO, put more people on the hotline. Good heavens, what a lame excuse. It sounds like this product might actually work for the oil on the surface. For the oil underneath, I don't know, but good heavens, everything is worth a try. We're talking about life sustainment. We eat from the ocean, and it is an extremely important element to support life as we know it.

Sorry, it just makes my blood boil. Corporate BS.

One thing is for sure "Necessity is the mother of invention". Kevin Costner has his invention also. Google it and you will find lots of solutions.
I thin we should do a little work and study to make sure that whatever all these different guys have is safe, then let them give it a try. offer a prize for the best solution. Hey the spill is in a big area, use them. BP is suppose to pay the bill.

It would not be a good feeling to know a large % of your retirement fund was invested with BP. I feel for those people.

Well the stock dipped to $29 and now is back to right at $34. Still a long way from $62. I read today that the amount of oil leaking is way more than what was being reported.
