I don't think there are too many F1 race fans on the board, but if you watched yesterday's race, you'd be hooked. The last lap, the last turn deciding the championship-fantastic. Of course, I was pulling for Ferrari, but MacLaren won the championship. Massa did everything he was suppose to do, and the team did a good job keeping him out front (at least this time-they cost him 2 races this year). There's always next year and I hope it's as close as this year was.
The whole season was good. I'm just disappointed Hamilton won. Ron Denis is just too smug for my liking.
I was cheering on Ferrari too. They made too many mistakes throughout the year to clinch it.
Not be long until next years season starts again, it should be a whole new ball game with slick tyres and aero packages.
I'll put money on Robert Kubica being even stronger next year.
I hope Renault gives them a run again. BMW just doesn't seem to be able to keep up with Ferrari and MacLaren. I wonder if Ruebens will be picked up next year. He was such a good partner to Schumacher. I wish they would have given him a chance as their number one driver. I think he and Massa would have worked well together. Kimi doesn't seem to want to work, just party. But you're right, it won't be long and it will start again!
I can understand that, they've spent hundreds of millions and cannot compete. It's really expensive when you're not in the hunt. I don't understand how some of the teams have been able to hang on as long as they have. It's really a shame, too, the races are so much better with a full field.
According to the article I read, Honda spent 583 million last year. Those 14 points were pretty pricey. I wouldn't be surprised to see Toyota pull out, too. The Honda engines do great in the IRL, but they have no competition.
