Here we are with pre-season already well underway. And of course yet another year of the Brett Favre follies. Yes I am retired. No I'm not. Yes I am. No I'm not. I type this as the ESPN sports center staff breathlessly cover reports that Favre is en route from Mississippi to the Vikings camp in a private jet. Word is if he passes a physical the Vikes will sign him.

That would be the top of his follies, he could leave sure of not being forgotten ... Jimi Hendrix left his group in the middle of a gig ... and Michael Schumacher was about to ... http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif |
Only in America...live video feed from a news helicopter of Favre walking into the Vikings training complex.

...and now official word that Favre has signed a contract. Here he comes trotting onto the field wearing his genuine official Vikings helmet. Meanwhile that sound you hear is millions of cheesed Packer backers, as Favre has made an unforgivable error in judgment.
I expect he'll be feeling the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field grinding into his body as often as the Packer "D" can do it. |
I wish he'd just retire. Michael was way too young to retire, but I'll bet Kimi had more to do with that than we were told. Ross has done quite well after leaving Ferrari, and I know Michael would have as well. I'm assuming he signed some type of agreement with Ferrari so he can't drive for anyone else. Or be on their team in any capacity, too.

I can't wait until they play Green Bay at home. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif

Forget Favre and whoever he plays for or retires from this time around. It is Eli and the Giants all the way BABY!!!!!

I think the Giants might regret releasing Amani Toomer.

Did anyone watch the Denver/Chicago game last night? I would say Cutler didn't get a very warm reception. Sure are a lot of coaching changes. I didn't know that Chuckie (aka John Gruden) had been axed.
|
Denver's new coach played a role in Cutler leaving, so perhaps he deserves some of that not-so-warm reception. It didn't seem to bother Cutler. I had forgotten he was diabetic.
I vaguely remember Gruden being fired but forget the circumstances. Maybe the owner got tired of seeing his theatric grimaces on the side lines. It probably drove some people to change channels. |
