:) Yeah
We will have NFL Football this year. Trades booming all over, QBs retiring, getting cut and un-retiring agan (Farve???) . Young undrafted players getting offers to report to camp, and FANTASY leagues cranking up for the season.

I just love it. Bring on the Big Boys

You really didn't think they'd start the season with the backups:) I think they just want more money and I know they didn't want a longer season. Sure wish I could get a job as a water boy (well old lady). It would double my salary:)

Seriously, I'm glad it's over and I'm glad we'll have NFL. Although, I must admit I love college as well. What I'm not glad about is Favre. He needs to go away or get another job. I'll bet his wife wants him out of the house (just kidding).

I'm also sick and tired of the annual Favre fest.

With all the money the NFL makes I was quickly getting tired of the lockout. Both sides are rolling in money and thus neither the players or the owners had my sympathy.

But it is over now, so let the season begin!

Oh, and Roll Tide!

I'm starting to like college football better too. It was exciting watching our boys (Gamecocks) roll over the Tide last year. And what better setting than the Carnival Fantasy leaving from beautiful Charleston, SC. I thought the ship tipped a little with all the people gathering to watch the game on the Lido bar TV. The Crew was dumbfounded as to why the crowd was gathering to watch something on TV.

We are sick and tried of football and never watch it anymore. People have to stop watching and maybe they will do something about the high salary. We do not want to watch million dollar men running around a field. We have lost all interest in all sports, baseball and hockey.

You're right wooddon, if people stopped watching and paying the ridiculous prices for season tickets, the salaries would have to come down. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. I guess we all need some type of mind numbing recreation. Personally, I'd rather be snorkeling, but cannot afford to cruise all the time. There are a few people I've met that have retired to a cruise ship(s). What an outstanding way to spend your time!

You are very right Penny. People will still pay the high amount for the tickets and TV viewing rights. We always hate this on cruises when they turn all TV's onto sports. We have made comments about this in the past and they say they will look into this, however nothning is going to change.
