Default Sandy !
I sincerely hope and pray that everyone within the path of Sandy made it through OK !
Watching this storm develop and move up the coast and just the sheer size of her gave me the chills. We in Maine were sparred for the most part and will have some additional winds and heavy rains around for another day or two. Looking at states where I have relatives such as Ct and NY did not do as well. Amazing just to think about what NY City would face with a severe catagory storm if one were to hit. Looking at the storm surge and how far the water ran is amazing. Again, hoping that all of you and yours were safe from Sandy.

It is truly amazing how far this storm is reaching. I talked with my Father in Michigan and they are having high winds and rain. Their schools are closed. Here in Nashville it is sunny and beautiful right now, but three hours SouthEast of us in Maggie Valley, NC I heard they were getting snow. I too, pray for everyone affected by this storm. Also, praying all the ships that are safely out to sea can make it back in before they run out of food and fuel.

I'm praying for all the people affected by Hurricane Sandy. Unbelievable!

I'm in the Princeton, NJ area, and me and my parents are fine, as is my sister down in DC. We lost power around 3:30 pm Monday, and got it back today (Wednesday) around 8:30 pm.

As you are probably aware by the news coverage, some of the Jersey Shore areas got hit hard, and my thoughts also go out to those that were impacted. Ships in the Caribbean shouldn't have an issue getting back to port now before they run out of supplies, but I'm not sure about ships leaving from NY/NJ with New England / Canada itineraries.

Unhappy
Now we are hearing that the Northeast has to prepare for a possible Noreaster for next Wednesday into Thursday. I don't think that NJ into Maine can afford another round while still trying to get some kind of life breathing into some of the major cities. Lets hope that if it does come that direction it will be fast and cause minor issues - best of course if it heads out to sea !

You certainly don't need another storm!
