Patrick Swayze lost his battle with pancreatic cancer tonight. He seemed to have fought the good fight with courage and dignity.

Nice man and fine actor.

I hate to hear when someone loses their battle with cancer. It's such a horrible disease. I know his wife will miss him after 34 years of marriage. My heartfelt condolences to his surving family and friends. He will be missed.

Very sad; a fine actor and dancer, and a true gentleman.

What amazes me is the difference in coverage. We still hear about Michael Jackson, but we barely had a mention in the paper about Patrick.

Very sad news. He fought a good fight. Such a nice man and fine actor indeed. I'll never forget him in "Red Dawn" and "Dirty Dancing". He made an impact in so many movies over a few age ranges of fans. My Dad told me he loved him in "Roadhouse".
RIP - Patrick. Dwayne |

With regard to Patrick Swayze: I remember about a month and a half ago, he did a story in People magazine. It had a photo of him and his wife outdoors somewhere. In the story, he expressed his destain for all the tabloid stories that suggested he was close to death. In the story, he also said that he was doing well and planned to live much longer. Too bad things did not turn-out that way. |
I think his positive and optimistic attitude got him as far as it did. He certainly surpassed the normal life expectancy time for the diagnosis.
