I know this is not about cruising BUT HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone !!

Happy Thanksgiving, to you, too! And to all of our members.

I have so VERY much to be thankful for, especially this year! Sure wish we were all on board, enjoying a thanksgiving dinner together. Then none of us would have to cook, serve, or do dishes

Best wishes to all for this Thanksgiving. One thing I am thankful for is not having to work on Thanksgiving anymore, since I retired and left rotating shift work behind.

Thanks Tim! Yes, Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I too have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful every day of my life for all the blessings I have received. Every time something goes wrong and I start to feel a certain way..I stop and say to myself "what are you complaining about?" My family and friends are what I am most thankful for. Penny, I wish we were all on board a cruise ship for Thanksgiving dinner too.

I am thankful for so many things: God, Country, family, health--and like Dave, thankful I don't have to work on thanksgiving any more--and we didn't rotate shifts!.

Happy Thanksgiving All!

I'm probably a little different than some when it comes to the meat. On Thanksgiving I prefer ham. The turkey to me is better as leftovers, especially as hot turkey and gravy sandwiches. However I have to have certain side dishes on Thanksgiving: dressing made with pork sausage and apples, cooked turnips, cranberry sauce with actual cranberries in it, and of course the mashed potatoes and gravy. I am also the one person in the house who likes mincemeat pie.

Which "mincemeat pie", Dave ?? My MIL used to make "real" mincemeat - with bear and venison, and whatever all else. The first time my Dad tried it, he almost passed on . . he was anticipating the sweet filling pies his grandmother used to make. I tried to warn him, but, he insisted "mincemeat is mincemeat"...

I'll add my Happy Thanksgiving to All, too. I love this holiday, and every year I seem to have more and more for which to give thanks.

Dave, I always made my own cranberry sauces (usually two per Thanksgiving dinner). The whole cranberries make the sauce so interesting, and it's so incredibly easy to make. My favorite has been Bourbon Cranberry Sauce (bourbon is a perfect counterpoint to the sweetness of the cranberry sauce), Blue Cranberry Sauce (made with blueberries) and Cranberry Sauce with Figs. Yum!
