Doesn't make me want to buy any, even though I'm sure they're safe.

In the interest of trying to be "greem" (and save $$) we put the fluorescents throughout the house; but the light is so awful we have gone back to good ol' incandescents everywhere except where the quality of light dosen't matter; garage, porches, etc.
And that was before all the information about proper disposal and clean-up after breakage came out. Now we're phasing them out altogether. |
we'll you better stock up on the old type bulbs, because after 2012 they will no longer be sold and manufactured
|
I can see a huge black market in incandescents coming; the fluorescents are just inferior in every way--except price and cost of operation.

The electricity company gave me 12 of the 75's. I bought 2 100's for the bathrooms. I like them alright so far. I've been using the lower watt ones in the stove hood for years because I leave it on all the time.
I'll be careful should I break one. Dwayne |
