As I said in my first post, Landon Donovan is one of your best players and he saved the day for Team USA by scoring a goal to win the game for you at the last minute.
USA finished at the top of group C and so now play the runners up in group D ....Ghana.

As England came second in group C ( on goal difference ) we have to play Germany a much tougher opponent.

Penny.....Your talking about David Beckham, who has been a world class player.

Sorry to see the USA lose against Ghana.
Landon Donovan showed his class by taking a penalty making the score 1-1.
Ghana scored their second goal in extra time and unfortunately the USA didn't manage to score another goal.
I saw Mick jagger & Bill Clinton sitting together during the game. I've heard that the reason Bill Clinton is in South Africa is that he is supporting the USA in their bid to host the World Cup in 2018.

If the USA gets the 2018 World Cup that would be huge.

I have to admit that I got caught up in today's game and did find it exciting. That's saying something because I've never cared much for the game.

England got robbed on that obvious goal in the first half.

Yes it was a goal, the ball quite clearly crossed the line. This is not the first time this has happened.The same referee failed to spot a clear goal by Brazil in a 2006 World Cup qualifier.

However there seems to be no doubt that the England defence was a mess.The German first goal should never have happened.
Germany deserved their 4-1 win and now face Argentina on July 3rd.

I guess that Team USA are on their way back but despite losing to Ghana they can be proud of winning their qualifying group.

Germany are out of the world cup and Spain are in a world cup final for the first time.
Spain will play the Netherlands on Sunday.
Look out for the Netherlands supporters, you won't miss them as they'll all be wearing orange.
